In particular circumstances where masonry has severely cracked or snapped and a rebuild would not be practical, steel-rod reinforcement – known as crack-stitching – is an effective solution.

In almost all cases where crack-stitching is utilised, it is in conjunction with other remedial work such as repointing & brick-replacement to restore the masonry back to sound structural and aesthetic condition. Crack-stitching can be utilised on Heritage-listed properties often without a council permit as it will not alter the appearance of the brickwork due to our seamless workmanship capabilities.
